The Finis FV cuts each potato to the same size. This feature helps chefs and food factories to work with an evenly cooked product using the same cooking time. The potatoes are individually positioned on a belt and the ‘vision system’ is used to detect and analyse the potatoes. Intelligent software then determines whether the potato has the shape and dimensions required for processing. The position and orientation of the cut is calculated. A pneumatic system positions the knives to cut the potato. Potatoes that do not meet the required specifications are removed. The FV halves and quarters potatoes and is versatile enough to cut other shapes.
